He was in charge of manufacturing for Midland Linseed Products Company in 1922 and with the Bisbee Linseed Company in Philadelphia as secretary and vice-president in charge of manufacturing plants from 1922 until 1950 when the business was sold.

He obtained US Patent 1589839 on 22 June 1926 for a filter press. He resided at Hampton Falls, N. H. (1956). He wrote and compiled a family record, "Genealogy of the Bisbee Family," published in 1956.

He moved to Canton, Mass. in 1849 and made mason's trowels. He also patented an improvement on a ferrule.
