Chesterfield Church records shos "Admitted to Church 19 Sept. 1789, Betty wife to Gideon Bisbee, baptized Aug. 1790" Gideon Bisbee Junior's will was dated 4 Sept. 1825 and was probated 6 Dec. 1825. His son Eli was named executor; he bequeathed to his daughters, Termial Dumbledon, Lydia Cowing, Betsey Dumbledon and to his sons Eli and Gideon and to his wife Betty. Gideon Jr. granted deeds to Eli in 1810; warranty deeds to Gideon 3d in 1820; Eli gave a warranty deed to Gideon Jr. in 1825. The 1810 US Census lists Gideon Jr. at Chesterfield, 5 m. and 6 fem. He served in the War of 1812 and from the Record of Service of Connecticut Men he is listed as Private Gideon Mowry of New London. Gideon and Tamsen lived on property adjoining the Chenango Canal in the village of Earlville, Town of Hamilton, County of Madison, New York. Their eldest son, Albert Morey, lived with his parents and cared for them until they died, intestate. Albert never married, and believed he was due a larger portion of his father's estate than his brothers and sisters, one of whom (Lodema) promptly contested it in court.
