| 2854 | In June of 1908, the Union City Times printed the following: "A son was born to Mr. & Mrs. D.M. Bisbee yesterday morning, and the popular auctioneer is the happiest man in town. The youngster weighed nine pounds and has been named Clair Arnold Bisbee. Parties in need of an auctioneer will be accomodated free of charge until dear papa's enthusiam subsides...." Clair Bisbee found great joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a farmer, an electrician, and for a time, owned his own TV repair business. He was a pillar of the family--anyone who needed help, or who had a problem, found a staunch friend in Clair. He was a natural born trader, and had a sly, dry sense of humor. His home at 87 East High St., Union City, PA, which he purchased in 1941, was over a hundred years old at that time. | Bisbee, Clair Arnold (I30)

Russ and Hazel owned Rohlm Manfacturing Company, 561 E. 18th St. in Erie, and they manufactured fuel system components for fighter aircraft. Lynn Bisbee worked for Rohlm during the War. After the war, Rohlm manufactured domestic items (such as automatic floor mops). Within a couple of years Rohlm closed its doors.
