| 4251 | Lynn Melvin Bisbee stood 5'-10" tall, was of medium build, and had light brown hair and hazel-green eyes. He attended elementary and high school in Union City, graduating in 1937. He was a bright and popular student, holding several student government positions. Even before graduation, he was earning money playing saxophone in local dance bands. He was part of a family band, the "Rhythm Makers," featuring Lynn on sax, sister Helen on piano, brother Clair on drums, and sister-in-law Florence on violin. His dream of becoming an aviator was dashed when damaged ear drums, the result of a childhood infection, kept him out of World War II. During the war he worked for his father-in-law, J. R. Dunnihoo (Rohlm Manufacturing), producing fuel system components for US fighter aircraft. In the late 1940's he joined the Diesel-Electric (Locomotive) Division of the General Electric Company in Erie, working as a machinist, sheet metal fabricator, and layout designer. Like his father and brother, Lynn was a talented framer, carpenter and joiner. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed occasional fishing trips to Canada, and annual deer hunting trips into the Allegheny Mountains. Lynn greatly enjoyed cooking for family get-togethers, and is especially remembered for his venison dishes, clam chowder and lobster, all served with plenty of ice cold beer. Lynn was only 58 years old when he succumbed to cancer. He is buried with his parents, grandparents and great grandparents in Wattsburg Cemetery on Jamestown Road, Wattsburg, Pennsylvania. | Bisbee, Lynn Melvin (I7)

| 4266 | Major Browne was much engaged in the business of the town; a Representative for a succession of years and commander of a company of Horse in the Indian Wars. In 1701 he was allowed compensation by the General Court for a horse lost in pursuit of Indians in 1697. Thomas Browne died 7 May 1709. It is recorded in the diary of Judge Sewall as follows: "Major Browne was buried in the old burying place." The tombs of Hopestill Browne (d. 1731) contain descendants up to the last burial in 1852. Of the several vaults at Wayland and also at Sudbury, non were marked "Browne," but several had the names obliterated (1933). The first church was built in 1649, and stood on the westerly part of the old burying ground at Sudbury. The site is marked by a slight embankment and has a Tercentenary marker placed there in 1930. Just south of this and about fifty feet distant is a small grave stone, the only one remaining in a considerable space. This stone was well preserved and buried quite deeply. The inscription reads, "Here lies ye body of Mrs. Patience Browne, wife of Major Thomas Browne aged about 59 years. Died Aug. y 15th 1706." In this cemetery are two very old flat markers in excellent condition and marked "Goodnough." | Browne, Major Thomas (I752)

Her mother spent much time sitting at her side and praying for her life. According to her mother, as she sat with Margaret in the early morning hours, a vision of Jesus appeared in the corner of the room and announced to her that Margaret would be okay. Immediately afterwards, Margaret fully recovered. Margaret Dunnihoo Bisbee researched, compiled and self-published an excellent Bisbee Family genealogy titled, "Two Brothers in the Pennsylvania Triangle," about Joseph and Reuben Bisbee, who moved to Erie and Crawford Counties during the mid-19th century. Only one hundred copies were printed, but the book may still be found in major genealogical research facilities such as those in Salt Lake City and Fort Wayne, Indiana.
