    • According to History of Plymouth County, D. Hamilton Hurd, Compiler, J.W. Lewis & Co, Phila, 1884. 1779 Isaac Bisbee from Capt Sampson's Co, three-year enlistment, 2 mo. service in RI. 1781 Isaac Bisbee sent to RI for 40 days service.

      The 1800 US Census for Philadelphia, Rutland County, Vt., lists one Isaac Bisbee, 3 m. < 10, 2 m. 10-16, 1 m. > 45; 1 fem. 26-45. The 1820 US Census for Bridgewater, Windsor County, Vt., lists Isaac Bisbee, 2 m. 10 < 16, 1 m. > 45; 2 fem. 5 < 10, 1 fem. > 45.

      Records of soldiers and sailors of the Revolutionary War from Massachusetts lists, "Isaac Bisbee of Plympton, Private Capt. Thomas Sampson's Co., Col. Theophilus Cotton's Reg't., General Palmer's Brigade; payroll for service between Sept. 25, 1777 and Oct. 10, 1777, service 1 mo., 2 das. in a secret expedition agains Newport, R. I.; aslo payroll for 3 days service from March 14, 1781 at Rhode Island; also descriptive list of men enlsited from Plymouth County in 1779 to serve in Continental Army, age 19, stature 5' 9", complexion light, resident of Plympton. Delivered to Lieut. J. Grace, enlistment 9 mos." Also, "Isaac, Private Capt. Ebenezer Washburn's Co., Ebenezer Brooks' Reg't. 1777 and 1778, service 4 mos. 28 days."
