    • Most of this information came from her obituary. Survivors include on sister and two neices. This indicates no children. Before her marriage to Dr. Tompkins, she taught in the St. Joseph schools. In Sept. 1902 she and her husband went to Suifu, West China, where she founded the Cecelia Kindergarten School. Her husband was a Baptist medical missionary. They returned to Benton Harbor in 1944. [1]
