Notes - Aaron Bisbee moved to Ann Arbor, Mich. when he was 19 years old. He remained there until 1839, when he returned to Brandon, Vt. where he operated a foundry for several years. After his father's death, in 1841, Aaron purchased the family farm near Springfield. In 1853 he moved to Oswego, N. Y. and engaged in the roofing business. Following this he moved to Buffalo, N. Y. and for 20 years was with the Warren Chemical Co. for which he managed the concern's Hunters' Point, L. I., Plant. During this time Aaron Bisbee was also interested in M. M. Steel and Co., Bisbee and Steel of NJ, who were in the general roofing business and E. B. Warren and Co. of Washington, D. C., manufacturers of appliances and roofing.
Aaron's wife, Elvira, graduated from the Seminary in Westminster, Mass. While managing the Hunters' Point plant of the Warren Co., Aaron and his wife lived in Ravenswood, L. I.
In 1880 Aaron retired and moved to Springfield, Vt. to his home on the Black River.
