  • Notes 
    • Jones Bisbee was named for his grandmother, Anna Jones. He lived on the T. Woodbury farm in the early 1840's. The farm was about one mile from West Peru and bordered on the Androscoggin River within sound of Rumford Falls. In 1859 he lived on a farm near Wilton, Maine. After selling the property in 1859 to Elias Norcross Jones bought his father's old homestead between the Labrador Ponds, Sumner, Maine where he died in 1874. Even though he had a crippled knee he was very active and at one time walked from Sumner to Patton, Maine. His widow, Rebekah, later moved to Madelia, Minn. and joined her two sons, John and Sylvester, who had previously moved from Maine. She lived with her son, Sylvester, until her death in 1889.
