    • (Research):Seek information on Barnabas(Barney,Barnard,Bernard) Valentine who arrived in 1771, having been kidnapped by a ship's crew in northern Ireland as a boy of fourteen.He was enlisted in the 10th Pennsylvania Regiment in May of 1777.He served until 1783, married and had a family of ten children: Catherine, Eleanor, Mary, John, William, Robert, Jane, Nancy, James Fuhrman,and Barnabas,Jr.He first appears in the 1810 Census for Mifflin County,Pennsylvania.He received a pension in 1818, sold out and moved his family to Fairfield County. He is in the 1820 and 1830 Census' Related families include Keith, Neely, Herron, Friend, Wisher, and Work.
