    • According to "List of Persons Whose Names Have Been Changed in Massachusetts, 1780-1892," Mass. Secretary of the Commonwealth, Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. Baltimore, 1972, p. 61. (located in Tucson LDS FHC)---- William Marshall Bisbee was born Bezai Bisbee, Jr. and changed his name 12 Mar 1830. He is described as a farmer and master of a vessel.

      He d. at sea "Aged 53 yrs. 10 mos. 3 das." The inscription on the graves at Plympton, Mass. reads: "Capt. William Marshall Bisbee died in his 54th year in command of the ship 'Egeria' bound to China and was buried off n.w. coast of Austrailia." [2]
