    • He "Died at sea, aged 20 yrs. 5 mos. 18 das." The Plympton inscription reads as follows: "William Wallace Bisbee, who was lost overboard the ship 'Esther (or Esther May),' of which he was second mate, off the Cape of Good Hope; was homeward bound from Manila Dec. 1858, in his 21st year." [2]
