- [S1736] Note.
In 1943, Elmer L. Comer died in a drowning accident. A newspaper article identifies Elinor as his sister, and Naomi as his half sister. According to the 1930 census, Clark and Jennie K. had only been married a couple of years; thus, Jennie could not be the mother of Elinor and Elmer. If Noami is Elmer's half sister, Jessie could not be his mother, either. Therefore, Clark must have married the unknown mother of Elinor and Elmer in the mid 1920's, after Jessie and before Jennie.
