    • Per Marlene Markotan: "Roswell's son William's first wife was Sally6 Chaffee. Her niece, Nancy Chaffee, Was Edwin W. Hatch's 1st wife. The Chaffees wrote a genealogy book in the early 1900s. They have 2 daughters listed for William and Sally, but their son Samuel isn't listed.....William also had 2 daughters from his 2nd wife, Polly/Mary Mullins, according to the census.... they could have moved to Kansas with Samuel."
