    • Civil War records of Massachusetts soldiers and sailors gives: "Joseph F. Bisbee, private from Pembroke, Mass., age 18 yrs., enlisted 23 Sept. 1862; mustered 26 Sept. 1862; discharged 28 Aug. 1863, 4th Mass. Reg't Volunteer Infantry. Also "Mustered 19 Nov. 1864, 20th Unattached Co., Mass. Infantry, 1 year." He was a retired mechanic in 1911. Joseph d. "Aged 66 yrs. 1 mo." [4]
