  • Notes 
    • John Oscar Bisbee's father moved to Madelia from Garden City in 1868. For many years he assisted in managing a land, grain and livestock business. For several years he owned a livestock feeding business which consisted of fattening sheep which were shipped in from Wyoming and Montana. He also spent several years in the far West in the early 1900's. He was manager of The Farm Improvement Company for several years prior to his death in 1943. His widow was living in Madelia in 1955.
