  • Notes 
    • Mary Besbeech came to Scituate, Mass. with her father in the spring of 1635. Her husband, William Browne, settled in Sudbury, Mass., having one of the first lots assigned there. It was the fourth one east of the first Meeting House and adjoining that of Edmond Goodnough.

      Thomas Besbeech, the father of Mary Browne, lived with her family for a number of years in Sudbury. He directed in his will that he be buried "to the east of the Church." More than likely both he and his daughter lie buried near the resting place marked by the tombstone of Patience Browne. [4]
