    • Marcia was graduated from the University of North Dakota and was an instructor there for some years. In 1912 Marcia and other University teachers became interested in the Lemke Land Colony in Mexico, and with her mother located at Concha Sinaloa that same year. The following year they were driven out by the Mexican Revolution. For a while they lived near the border, hoping to move back to their home. Where there she contracted TB of the lungs from which she never fully recovered. During the Flu Epidemic of 1918 she passed away. She never married. Buried with her parents in Minnewaukan, North Dakota.
