| Text | In the matter of the Administration of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of Gideon Morey deceased. To CHARLES L. KENNEDY, Surrogate of Madison County: The Petition of Albert Morey of the County of Madison, respectfully showeth: That he is the son of Gideon Morey late of the town of Hamilton in the county of Madison, deceased; that the said Gideon Morey died a natural death on or about the 1st day of February 1874, and died intestate, as your petitioner verily believes; that your petitioner has made diligent search and inquiry for a will of the said deceased, and has not found any or obtained any information that he left or ever made one; that your petitioner has, to the best of his ability, estimated and ascertained the value of the personal property of which the said deceased died possessed, and that the same does not exceed in value the sum of one hundred dollars; that the intestate left kindred entitled to his estate, whose names and places of residence are as follows: Tamma Morey of Hamilton, NY, the widow, Albert Morey of Hamilton, NY Huldah Hinman of Hamilton, NY Alfred Morey of Eaton, NY Charles Morey of Clarksdale, Christian Co, Ill Joseph Morey of Leroy, Genesee County, NY George M. Morey of Sherburne, Chenango Co, NY Loduna Muir, of Sherburne, Chenango Co, NY Children of said deceased all of full age Your petitioner further shows, that the said intestate, at or immediately previous to his death was an inhabitant of the County of Madison; that your petitioner is of full age; and the he is informed and believes that the Surrogate of the County of Madison has sole and exclusive power to grant letters of Administration of the goods, chattels and credits of the said intestate and prays that such letters may be granted to him in pursuance of the Statute in such case made and provided.
