"Mrs. Caroline M. Gooding, wife of C. C. Gooding, died at the family home 118 Riverside avenue, South Canon, shortly after 12 m(idnight) Tuesday ((5 Feb)) of valvular disease of the heart, superinduced by paralysis, after a brief illness, in the seventy-fourth year of her age. Deceased was born in Connecticut and came to Canon City with her husband from Nebraska about ten years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the funeral will be conducted by Rev. J. T. Thomas. Her husband has been seriously ill for some time and but little hope is entertained for his recovery. Besides her husband the deceased leaves three daughters, one son and many friends to mourn her death." |
