| Text | "Maria Atwater Called By Death. "An old and esteemed resident of this city passed away yesterday afternoon at her home at 534 Buffalo street, following a long illness in the person of Mrs. Mariah (sic) Atwater. The deceased lady was born in Erie county, Pa., in 1846, but had resided in this city for the past thirty-one years. "She is survived by her four sons, Charles Atwater, Verne Bisbee and William Atwater, of this city, and Matthew Atwater of Cleveland; also by two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Sauerwine and Mrs. Malinda Comer, of Conneaut, and by two brothers, Renzo Vincent of Elsie, Mich., and Simon Vincent of Jamestown, N. Y., and also by several grandchildren. "The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, eastern time, at the late home, the obsequies being private. Friends will be received on Sunday morning between ten and eleven o'clock. The Rev. J. H. Rankin, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate at the funeral offices, after which interment will be made in the East Conneaut cemetery." | |
