"PENROSE WOMAN TAKEN BY DEATH FRIDAY EVENING
"Mrs. Lottie B. McKenzie, 81, resident of Penrose, died at a Canon City hospital about 9 o'clock Friday evening, a month after she suffered a stroke of paralysis.
"She had resided in Colorado since 1895, coming from Nebraska.
"She was born in Madison, N. Y. on April 26, 1862 and was reared in that state. She resided in Nebraska for a number of years and was married there in 1881 to the late J. S. McKenzie. He died here in October, 1926.
"Surviving Mrs. McKenzie are one daughter, Mrs. C. H. Hackett of Penrose; and two sons, T. T. (sic) of Walsenburg and Walter A. of Los Angeles. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Holt mortuary of Florence." |
