"Duane Bisbee, 73, of Cresbard, died Friday Aug. 1, 2003 at Faulk County Memorial Hospital in Faulkton.
"Funeral services were held Monday Aug. 4 at Cresbard United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Hedman officiating. Burial was in the Cresbard Cemetery under the direction of the Luce Funeral Home - Faulkton.
"Duane Russell Bisbee was born January 27, 1930 at Cresbard to Claude and Helma (Vensand) Bisbee. He grew up in Cresbard and graduated from Cresbard High School. He then attended tech school in Omaha, Neb. He returned to Cresbard working various jobs. He started farming in the DeVoe area, worked at the Cresbard service station, drove school bus, and worked from 1972 to 1995 for Faulk County Highway Department.
"On Sept. 26, 1954 he married Marilyn Roth.
"His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, tinkering with things, playing cards, reading and being with his family.,
"He was a member of the Cresbard Methodist Church.
"Survivors include his wife Marilyn of Cresbard; three children: Dean (Debbie) Bisbee of Chamberlain, Terry (Rita) Bisbee of Hutchinson, Minn. and Susan (Walter) Sutthill of Brookings; four grandchildren; brother Don (Jean) Bisbee of Cresbard; sister Shirley (Duane) Hold of Cresbard; sister-in-law Marjorie Bisbee of Cresbard; and a brother-in-law Kenneth Raethz of Arizona.
"He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale and sister Helen Raethz." |
