Last Will and Testament of James Bisbee:
"Know all men by these presents, that I, James Bisbee, of the town of Pharsalia, in the County of Chenango, and State of New York, Considering the uncertainty of this life, and being of sound mind and memory, do make, declare, and publish, this my last will and testament.
"I give and bequeath to my son Bolivar Bisbee, all my estate, real, personal, or mixed, of which I shall die siezed and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease for the support of my wife Polly Bisbee during his natural life, & if from any cause my said son Bolivar Bisbee shall fail or neglect to support, or to furnish suitable support for my said wife during her lifetime, then my said wife may & shall take my said estat, real or personal, and apply the same to her support, and then what shall remain of said estate at the decease of my said wife, after paying all necessary and proper expenses for the support of my said wife is to be & belong to my said son Bolivar Bisbee, to have & to hold the same to him, and to his executors, and assigns forever. And in case of the decease of my said wife previous to the time of my decease, then and in that case I give, devise and bequeath to my said son Bolivar Bisbee all my estate, real and personal, or mixed, of which I shall die siezed and possessed, or to which I shal be entitled at the time of my decease; to have and to hold the same to him, and to his heirs, executors, and administrators, and assigns forever.
"I do nominate and appoint my son Bolivar Bisbee to be the executor of this my last will & testiment (sic).
"In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, and publish and decree this to by my last will and testiment in the presence of th witnesses named below, this 23rd day of Nov. in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one."

James Bisbee residing at Anamosa, Jones County, Iowa;
Tryphena Crandall the wife of Myron Crandall residing at Deseret in the Territory of Utah;
and Emma M. Goddard and Tryphena W. Goddard, the children of Isabella Bisbee Goddard deceased (a daughter of the deceased James Bisbee), whose names, ages and residences are unknown. |
