      The 1790 US Census for Mass. lists, "Jotham Bisbe Chesterfield, Hampshire Co. 4 m. 5 fem."
      The census shows a family of 4 males and 5 females but the above record accounts for only 6 in 1790.

      Job was probably the eldest child and for that reason was named the executor of his father's estate.

      Records of soldiers and sailors of the Revolutionary War from Mass. shows, "Jotham Bisbe, Private Capt. Joseph Warren's Co. Col. Ruggles Woodbridge's Reg't.; enlisted Aug. 17, 1777 discharged Nov. 29, 1777 service 3 mos. 15 das. in Northern Department.

      The records of the Clerk of Court and Court of Sessions of Hampshire County at Northampton show the following: Job Bisbee was administrator of his father's estate in 1826. Jotham Bisbee started action against Job and the massachusetts Hospital Life Insurance Company in 1826. Job brought action in 1826 against Jotham, et. al. Ashel brought action agains Job in 1826.

      The 1800 US Census for Chesterfield, Hampshire, Co., Mass. shows, "Jotham Bisbee, 3 m. 3 fem., 3 m. 16 to 18; 2 fem. 16 to 18; 1 fem. 26 to 45." [3]
