    • The 1790 U. S. Census for Massachusetts lists, "George Bisby, Plympton, Plymouth Co., 4 m., 3 fem."

      Records of soldiers and sailors from Massachusetts lists, "George Bisby, Plympton, Corporal, Capt. Bradford's Co. Col. Cotton's Reg't. 1775; service 3 mos., 7 das."

      Also, "Private Capt. Bradford's Co., Col. Cotton's Reg't. which marched on alarm April 19, 1775 to Marshfield; service 12 das; reported enlisted in the army." Also, "Corporal, Co's. returned dated Oct. 7, 1775." Also, "Order for bounty coat or its equivalent in money, dated Roxbury, Nov. 9, 1775.

      1777 George Bisbee and others under Capt. Thomas Sampson was sent to Bristol, RI.

      NEH&GR, Vol. 122, p. 60: "By a deposition, dated 27 April 1836, in behalf of a Revolutionary pension for the widow Sarah Ellis, GEORGE BISBEE of Kingston, Mass, aet 88 years, swore that he "was a soldier...in 1775...at Roxbury...in Capt. John Bradford's Co....[and that] I well recollect Freeman Ellis of Plympton being in said Company the same term of 8 months a Sergeant in sd Bradford's Company. A number of years after the war the sd. Ellis Freeman moved to what is now the state of maine and is not living now, but his widow, I understand, is still living." (Pension claim W-24114)

      Examined vital records, Plymouth County, Mass. and found no record of George Bisbee's will. [2]
