  John Bisbee spent most of his life in Plainfield and died from injuries received from a fall down a flight of stairs. He spent his last years with a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Campbell. One John Bisbee of Plainfield conveyed by deed to Joshua and Susan Shaw, land to the valued o $1050, Meredith, N. Y. (Deeds of Delaware County, Delhi, N. Y., Book 406, 1804). The will of John Bisbee was proved in 1881, witness Leonard Campbell, Book 175, page 14 of wills, Hampshire, County. John Bisbee granted a deed to Galen Bisbee, Plainfield, 1807. John Bisbee granted a deed to Ebenezer Bisbee, 1813 and 1830. John Bisbee granded a deed to Elisha Bisbee, 1830. John Bisbee granted a deed to Ursal Bisbee, Cummington, Mass., 1848. One John Bisbee of Plainfield invented an improved machine for turning broom handles for which a patent was obtained. John d. "Aged 93 yrs. 6 mos. 7 das." [4]
