  • Notes 
    • William I. went to a trade school in Chicago, Illinois where he learned auto mechanics. He then worked for Mevis Brother Garage in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They sold Moline Cars and he taught people how to drive. After his marriage he moved to Waterloo where he went into business for himself with an auto repair shop which he ran until 1930 when he lost everything in the depression. They moved to LaPorte, Iowa where he found odd jobs wherever he could. In 1935 he went to work as a machinist at John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo, retirint from there in 1956. William I. raised flowers and made excellent home made candies. He went on fishing trips until he was 80 years old. Information from Ernest Irving Bisbee #11-1731. Census and personal knowledge. [4]
