    • Unsourced information via email from Anita Sue Funk Bondurant, Kansas City, MO.
    • Berta/Bertha’s parents were both from Switzerland and that she married Robert Stephen Bisby at the young age of 14 (he was 22 years old) and had her first child, Mildred at the age of 15. Mildred lived to the age of 8 and then sometime during the period of her eighth year she was tragically burned to death when she ran out of her house and her clothes caught fire as she knocked over an oil lantern sitting on her front porch. There were two more children both of whom died in infancy and then her fourth child, my grandfather, Harold Robert Bisby, was born. Berta and Robert were then divorced. Robert remarried someone, first name, Mary.

    • Unsourced information via email from Anita Sue Funk Bondurant, Kansas City, MO.
    • in 1954 H. R. Bisby was elected president of the North Texas Municipal Water District which provided water to Dallas among others. He was still on the board in 1956. -- Abilene Reporter-News (Abilene, Texas).

      According to his granddaughter, Harold "Like so many he struggled during the depression and eventually ended up in Texas where he started a movie house which eventually became a movie chain. I know that he was voted “Business Man of the Year – I think it was by the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and there were articles in area newspapers, but I have not been able to find the articles...he was also on the Board of Directors for Texas Christian University where I attended school."
