    • Civil War records of Massachusetts soldiers and sailors show: "Asaph Bisbee, private from Lynn, Mass., shoemaker, aged 19 yrs. Enlisted and mustered 13 June 1861; wounded 5 May 1862 at Williamsburg, Va. Discharged for wounds 18 March 1863." Also, "Enlisted 8 Sept. 1863, 3d Mass. Heavy Art. Mustered out 18 Sept. 1865."
