    • Aylmer Vincent Smith was a seaman first class in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He served from 15 November 1943 to 12 December 1945 and was stationed in Rhode Island, Panama, and California. He was long associated with his father and brothers in the retail furniture firmss of A. A. Smith, Inc. and the Wolcott House. In 1959, he became owner and president of A. A. Smith, Inc., and served in that capacity until his death. [3]
