  • Notes 
    • Reuben III was raised on the farm where the brickyard was. For many years the home was the Preaching Place for all religious persons. His parents wre Methodist. When he was 22 years old, he built a house and married a young lady. She was buried exactly 2 months after their wedding day - inflammatory rheumatism. He sold his home and business and for two years he wandered, like a fish out of water. On 12 May 1867 he met Hannah. They were married soon after. Reuben III had a sever sick spell. When better, he decided to go west. Several members of the family, including his parents, migrated 3 Nov. 1873 and with their two sons started life in the west. They liked the country, but were to undergo many hardships.
      Reuben died Aged 82 Yrs, 6 Mos, 3 Das. [2]
