    • Samuel A. Bisbee family left New York in 1856, locating in Polo, Illinois. April 1857. the family started for Iowa, a two week journey by ox team. They settled in Aplington, Butler Co, Iowa, living there for six years. They moved to a 100 acre farm in Mount Vernon twp, Black Hawk Co, Iowa in 1863, and later lived in Waterloo, Iowa. History of Black Hawk Co, Ia, 1886, p. 236. Information from Dianne Bisbee Homann

      Samuel died of apoplexy, age 88. [2]
