    • David died at the Battle of the Bulge. David was awarded the Combat Infantry badge for "performance of duty in combat against the enemy." His parents received his Purple Heart medal. He was buried in grave number 91, row 4, plot AA in the United States Military Cemetery at Margraten, Holland. At the time of his death David was engaged to June Damon of Waitsfield, Vermont. [2, 3]
