  • Notes 
    • Anecdotal information had Stiles living in a structure in Wattsburg known as the "beehive." The law evicted him for debt, placing all his furniture on the street and locking him out. In the dark of morning, some of Stiles' friends broke the lock and moved him back in (Wattsburg Area Historical Society.)
