  • Notes 
    • According to the late Myron Wallace of French Creek Township, Chautauqua County, New York, young Elmer had a reputation for strength and was a good fighter, abilities that occasionally got him him in trouble with the boys in nearby Corry, across the state line. He worked in Canton, Ohio as a carpenter and contractor, moving back to Jamestown after 1922 and retiring there as an inspector at Marlin-Rockwell Company in 1957. [2]
