    • The 1790 US Census for Rochester, Plymouth County, Mass. lists, "Hopestill Bisbey, Rochester, Plymouth County, 7 m. 4 fem.

      Records of soldiers and sailors in the Revolutionary War from Mass. lists, "Hopestill Bisbey, Private Capt. Jabrey Cottle's Co., Col. Ebenezer Sprout's Reg't.; enlisted 16 May 1778, discharged 18 May 1778, service 2 days on the alarm at Dartmouth."

      Also, "Capt. Barnabas Doty's Co. Col. Sprout's Reg't. enlisted Sept. 5, 1778 discharged Sept. 11, 1778, service 6 days on alarm at Dartmouth."

      Also, "Capt. Doty's Co. Lieut. Col. White's Reg't; enlisted July 31, 1780 discharged Aug. 8, 1780, service 9 days on alarm at Rhode Island.
