Notes - Jonah Bisbee was Precinct Janitor at Carver in 1798. 1790 US Census for Mass. lists, "Jonah Bisbee, Pembroke, Plymouth Co., 2 m. 2 fem. 1 m. over 16, 1 m. under 16.
Records of soldiers and sailors of the Revolutionary War from Mass. reads, "Jonah Bisbee, Private Capt. Freedon Chamberlain's Co. Col. Cary's Reg't. Return of men dated Cortlands Manor Nov. 22, 1776."
Also, "Private Capt. Turner's Co. Col. Eleazer Brook's Reg't. of Guards enlisted Nov. 6, 1777. Rolls made up to April 3, 1778. 4 mos. 27 days at Cambridge, Mass."
A conveyance reads, "We, Nathaniel Sherman, John Sherman and Jonah Bisbee of Carver and Asa Sherman of Plymouth and Elizabeth Finney of Plymouth, all heirs to the estate of John Sherman, late of Carver, dec'd. convey to Rufus Sherman of Carver.... 30 march, 1801." (Ruth Bisbee signs with the others.)
Jonah Bisbee, Jr. was named executor of his father's estate. He d. [Aged 96 yrs.] [4]
