"Union City, April 1. --Mr. Horace Hatch, an old and respected citizen of this vicinity, died at his home on East High street yesterday afternoon of paralysis. He was born in 1819 near Buffalo, N. Y., married Miss Eliza Norton in 1840, this county, where they continued to reside until seven years ago, when he moved to this city. He has been a member of the M. E. Church since 1836 and was an earnest worker and a conscientious Christian gentleman. His funeral will take place tomorrow at 12 o'clock at the house, after which the remains will be taken to the Hatch Hollow Methodist Church where the final services will be held." |
