Emmet B. Kibbe of the Town of Cortland states that "Lucena A. Kibbe died on the 10th day of February 1916, in the town of Cazenovia, Madison County, New York....at the time of her death...a resident of the town of Taylor, Cortland County, New York." Emmet further states that Ruth S. Stanton is deceased and that he (Emmet) is the sole beneficiary. He then names the only heirs at law and next of kin:
