"Mr. A. C. Bisbee died at the County Farm on Sunday, March 25, 1906, from cancer of the stomach aged 72 years. Mr. Bisbee had been a resident of this vicinity a large part of his life, was a hard working and industrious citizen and a kind, accomodating neighbor. He spent about a year recently in Texas with his sister, Mrs. Olive Daniels, who did all possible to make him a comfortable home, but the longing for the old hills of Erie County was too strong and he came back only to sicken soon after and is now among those of the silent city. The remains were brought here by undertaker Fuller and the funeral held at the M. E. Church on Tuesday at eleven o'clock and interment in Wattsburg Cemetery, Rev. Parsons officiating." |
