"Jennie L. Phelps Bisbe, 87. Had owned Jennie's Nut Shop.
"UNION CITY--Jennie L. Phelps Bisbee, 87, of RD3 Wellmon Road, Union City, died Sunday, Oct 23, 1994, at Meadville Medical Center.
"She was born in Rootville, Crawford County, March 23, 1907, daughter of the late Robert T. and Lena Wellmen (sic) Phelps. She had owned and operated Jennie's Nut Shop in Union City for a number of years and later retired from the Union City Area School District after 15 years as cook in the school cafeteria.
"She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron Bisbe in 1953, and by two sisters, Lorna Laugherty and Cora Mosher.
"Mrs. Bisbe is survived by a son, Robert Bisbe of Union City; a sister, Beatrice Laugherty of Erie; a brother, Francis Phelps of Branden, Fla; six grandchildren; eight great -grandchildren; a great -great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
"Friends my call at the C. S. Warmth Funeral Home, 69 N. Main St., Union City, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Joseph F. Yunik of Lyona Bible Church officiating.
"Burial will be at Rootville Cemetery." |
