| Text | "Alvah Bisbee, 84, Dies at North East. Funeral Services to Be Held on Wednesday; Ill for Week. Following an illness of the past week, Alvah C. Bisbee, eighty-four, died early Monday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Eaton, 56 Liberty St., North East, where he had resided since the death of his wife, Gertrude, about a year ago. A tinner by trade, he was employed at Oneida, N. Y., for several years. He retired in 1919 and took up residence at Wattsburg. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Love, of Clymer, N. Y., and Mrs. Eaton, of North East; two sons, Emmett, of Clinton, N. Y., and Earl, of Seattle, Wash. Further survivors include two brothers, Dell, of Union City, and Irwin, of Columbus, O., and two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Hurst, of Wattsburg, and Mrs. Eva Edson, of Jamestown, N. Y., and seven grandchildren. Deceased was a prominent member of the Wattsburg Lodge of Odd Fellows. Prayer services will be held at 1:30 p. m. in the Wattsburg M. E. church with the Rev. I. M. Shreve and the Rev. Ralph Metcalf officiating. Burial will follow in the Wattsburg cemetery." | |
