"Lawson Bisbee Dies Following Long Illness
Following an illness of six years, Lawson Bisbee, 79, died at his ho me 105 Peterson Street about 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. illness beg an when he when he suffered a stroke. Apoplexy was given as the cause of d eath. Tho he had spent much of the past six year sin bed his last critic al illness began about a week ago.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at t he Methodist church with the Rev L E Overdeer officiating. Burial wi ll be in Grandview cemetery.
His widow Mrs. emmeline W. Bisbee and one of his daughters Mrs. Hu gh Graham of Longmont was with him at the time of his death. Mrs Graham ca me here a week before her father's death to assist in caring for him/ T he other daughter, Mrs. Roy Mack of Tacoma Washington was unable to be her e.
Besides his widow and daughters Mr. Bisbee is survived by nine grandc hildren, four great grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Harwo od of Mankato, Kane, Mrs. Nellie Spangler of Phoenix Ariz. amd Mrs. Aman da Morgan of Compton Calif.
Lawson Bisbee was born Feb 12 1854 in Canada. He came to this count ry as a small boy. In 1879 he was united in marriage to Emmaline Willfo rd of Garrison Ia. Mr and Mrs Bisbee moved to the vicinity of Fort Colli ns 25 years ago from Britton Ia. Mr Bisbee engaged in farming in the Cact us Hill district for a time but had been retired for many years at the ti me of his death. He was a member of the Methodist church."
