    • In 1943 at age 49, Royden lived on South Street, South Coventry, Tolland, CT. He was employed by Colt Patent Firearms in Hartford. He stood 5'-10" tall, weighed 180 lbs, had brown eyes, gray hair, light complexion, two hernia scars and scars on his left thumb. [4, 5]
    • During the 1920s he was a builder and contractor with his father and brother Orlo Harold Smith in California, moving back to Connecticut in the 1930. From 1956 to 1958 he represented Coventry as a Republican in the Connecticut House of Representatives. [1]
